This is the first time in about 10 years that my lilac bush has bloomed. It met with an unfortunate tree cutting down incident about 10 years ago…we moved what was left of the bush and it never bloomed again. Each year in spring, I eagerly await for it to bloom. Year after year, I am so disappointed. Each year I wrote about my eager anticipation and eventual disappointment at my personal blog, Wine on the Keyboard.
Finally, this year, after almost giving up hope, she bloomed!! Isn’t she beautiful?? So, of course, I chose to capture the beauty of a lilac bloom for our Fine Art Friday this month. Oh Kay, this is gorgeous. We had to get rid of our lilacs because of allergies, which is much better for me, but there is no denying they are so beautiful! I love the tones in this, and the bokeh is stunning!

Beautiful. I love lilacs. I miss having them around. When I lived in eastern Washington state, I has otsof lilacs. They smell so yummy. Enjoy your lil a. I bet this means she is ready to gie you a show each year from now on!
